2011-WHAT WE CAN EXPECT?

2011 will be the year of International Year of Forest and International year of Chemistry.

Time has come to make New Year resolution and many promises has been made in year 2010 and year 2011 awaits events which once again are ready to paint international canvas.

Apart from that it will be interesting to see how India will shape up after getting a positive nod from United States and France for permanent seat at UNSC.

Also the census 2011 will be done and the tabulations will be out and people will be getting the unique identification card.It has been a massive project undertaken by Prime Minister of India Manmohan Singh and Head of Unique identification card called Aadhaar under Nandan Nilkhani.

February will be embarked by the most awaited Cricket World Cup 2011(19th February-2nd April) to be held in Indian sub continent by India,Bangladesh and Srilanka..Everybody will be eying on Pakistan for the controversial cricket year they had.The opening ceremony of the event is schedule on 18th february in Dhaka and the final match showdown will be at Mumbai  on 2nd April 2011.
Later IPL will be held and this time without Lalit Modi,that will be something one should watch it for.With two New teams From Pune and Kochi enrolling,the game will be of totally different delight.

As we are speaking of sports world cup hero Ronaldo will be retiring from football by end of 2011.He had been thrice FIFA World footballer of the year.

In Year 2011 Women FIFA world cup will be also held in Germany.

From glitz and glamour Oprah will be ending her talk show in 2011.Oprah has already made declaration in year 2010. 

Harry potter will closed its chapters in the movie saga with the last film coming in 2011.

At the business side it is expected that as the sensex grip to 20%.Indian-EU tie ups will also get strong as there is a trade agreement between India and European Union will be made by early 2011.
India will open markets for US and France too after each countries respective President visited the country and talked about business negotiations.

Events such as 20TH International World Wide Web Conference will be held from 28th March to Ist april at Hyderabad.It aims at futuer directions of world wide web and is technologists b,usinessmen,decision makers will participate.
And as i mentioned about technology the digital world will sprawl as  Apple will bring white I phones for spring 2011.

In Indian Politics arena-Mamta Banerjee will be playing cards yet again in West Bengal State Election .Also Tamil Nadu and Assam will be going for state elections in 2011

Perhaps this is the most interesting piece of information I have come across in recent times.DREAM ACT that is Development relief and education for Alien Minors act..The Dream act was halted on its way to become reality when senate democrats pulled back from considering it.

A student coming out to support the bill.

It is one of the most crucial bill which has been introduced in year 2001.It is for the children or if I should specify the minors below age 18  who have come from across the border illegally.and staying in US.The bill if enacted will make them permanent residence of United States .These minors are often poor and have been tangled in the dilemma of nation belonging.But at the same time US is facing hard time they are coping up with the recession and other border security issues.If this bill is not passed then those minors will be deported with their dreams which they had seen long years back.

Opponents says that these illegal minors have become a hurdle for their country but at the same time I think when they came under age of 18 ,later they bettered themselves.They should also get a chance to live in United states and serve the country.They came when they were minors and I guess this issue has to be understood from the humanitarian aspects also.Don't they have right to live,educate and prosper in this country?I understand the sentiments of the opponents that there is no space in their country for illegal immigrants but one has to borne in mind that they were children when they came.one has to see the circumstances in which they came.

You can make your security more concrete border and restrict the other illegal migrants but the people who have come there i think US should give them equal rights because now they have been part of US.They should be given higher college education also so that they have opportunity in life.
They have been in this vast country for so many years.They have made friends ,met new people ,they got a new country by just quashing this bill under the table it would bring nothing but sad and even hatred.But now as the bill has been in halted a rethinking is required over it.Its not about illegal migrants over here its about humanity.

keep away from Wikileaks

Keep away from Wikileaks or you will loose the job.

This is the agenda adopted by US agencies towards its employees. If they read some classified State department documents released by wikileaks it can jeopardize their job standing.

 I think this step is taken in the interest from one prospective only and that prospective is to protect the interest of United states.Wikileaks has publishes many secret documents and that has become the bone of contention for the state authority .To control the viral leak which is spreading like wild fire such steps are being taken.I believe people of US who wants to go for security jobs will adhere to this declaration that is not following wikileaks.

Students have also been warned of not writing any views on the page of social network such as Twitter and Facebook.They have been advised not to follow such pages else it may prove hurdle in their chances in getting job.This is a technological battle according to me.It has been said that online medium will change the world and I think we can see that now happening.Following is one of the letters circulated to the student from student career department.

As the year is drawing to end the film industry accross the world is gearing up for the award season.Oscars is certainly like other years is the buzz yet again.According to Oscar press release reports Anne Hathaway and James Franco will be hosting Academy Awards to be held 27th February 2011

I was taken by surprise when such names were declared .According to the Faded Youth Blog as they report both personify the next generation of Hollywood Icons.

Oscars always garner interest of millions across the world.Its one of the most watched television event.But during year 2008 there was an immense drop in the viewership which led producers to rethink about the strategy the way the Oscar has to be conducted.Oscar has always been a package of surprises and the organizers are doing their best to keep the spirit of the mega awards alive.Last year 10 nominations were included in the best picture category which became the highlight of the award.Not only that even there were two host Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin as co host instead of one host for the entire evening.The Oscars love experimenting with different aspects and this time its all about Hathaway and Franco.I think in order to expand their viewer ship to wider audience Oscars has taken such decision.It will capture young audience which doesn't roll themselves to see such event.Previously Young actors have been called for presenting award but no one has hosted it yet.But such decisions is making Oscars Youth centric.

With speculations of the movie which has started already world will be yet again eying on this prestigious award ceremony.

After Obama's visit to India and his backing for India's permanent seat in United Nation Security Council,the Indian had French delight when President Nicolas Sarkozy backed India for the same at UNSC.Perhaps this was a stronger support because France is one of the most strong member of United Nation.

Before Backing was done by Washington to New Delhi, United kingdom Prime Minister ,David Cameroon also visited India prior this year showing his keen interest in India.

I think time has come when the world has begun to understand the importance of India in shaping the world order.Sarkozy also mentioned that it is really impossible to think about the world without India..

Sarkozy also showed immense support to India by sending message across border to Pakistan that it will not tolerate the terrorist activities.He slammed Pakistan by his unbiased opinion and said 

“It is unacceptable for the world that terrorist acts should be masterminded and carried out by terrorist groups in Pakistan." 

I believe this is the first time Staunch and undiplomatic support has been shown by any foreign country to India and this fact won heart of many in India.  Further he didn't visit Pakistan after India's four day visit. This shows his support to the country and also gives a signal to the world that India is the player in the Indian oceanic belt,not Pakistan.He unlinked India from Pakistan by not visiting there.

Apart from the political tub boiling business aspects were also explored where the investment of $1O billion was talked with.France has even signed a contract to build nuclear reactor at Jaitapur which is being seen as one the most crucial bilateral investment. India has a shining economy and I believe all the countries in the world wants to associate them with her.France is nuclear potential country and it will help India to outshine in this industry as well.

Getting a permanent seat at United Nation now can be seen with much hope.after French support and has garnered tons of positivity from all corners and the trade between these two country will definitely raise the bar of their relation.

NATO DRAWDOWN IN AFGHANISTAN

"There’s a lot to do but we are going in the right direction.What NATO was talking about around the table is doable."

David Cameroon said that the exit transit of troops from Afghanistan is achievable by year 2014.He made a surprise visit to Afghanistan and said that the British troops will start pulling out from early next year.

This news came after NATO members hold one of the most crucial meetings of the past six decades since its inception in Lisbon, Portugal last month. 28 NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) members discussed new strategic plan on various issues including vital Afghanistan exit strategy.

The NATO forces have faced the most brutal attacks for the past nine years in this never ending war in Afghanistan that has ultimately raised concern and has called for change in the strategic policy. It is expected that NATO forces will leave Afghanistan after the security transfer to Afghan Army in year 2014.The members will comprehensively work out on this three years goal which will go on the floor from early next year, towards the implementation of the strategic plan. As reported in CNN The plan would pave the way for the NATO members to reduce their collation forces of 140000.The gradual transition is expected to start as early by 2011 but it is expected that the complete safe transition will extend beyond 2014.

According to CNN, Pentagon press secretary Geoff Morrell said that the deadline had existed for some time as "an aspirational goal" but that this did not mean all coalition forces would have to leave by that date.

In the interview with the Washington post Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai has criticized the NATO policy for the past ten decades in Afghanistan.

“It's not desirable for the Afghan people either to have 100,000 or more foreign troops going around the country endlessly, there has to be a plan inside whereby the Afghan capacity increases, whereby the NATO presence decreases to the extent that we can provide our own security”, said Karzai in an interview with the Washington Post.

Now everyone is eyeing on Karzai who is expected to address this issue particularly 2014 deadline in Lisbon on Saturday.

Apart from the Afghan Transition Strategy the NATO summit will also confabulate over the development of its relation with Russia and will also discuss more comprehensive role of its member with Japan and South Korea.

Lets hope there a safe exit for the troops and Afghanistan is back on their track with a balanced regulated army.

RUSSIA-THE SURPRISE HOST

Last Thursday was a surprise to many across the world when Russia was announced the official host of FIFA WORLD CUP

The bidding process is always surrounded with acquisitions.Huge amount of money and power is invested in it.This time FIFA federation bidding handover for 2018 and 2022 have surprised many.The FIFA world Cup 2018 will be hosted by Russia,The largest country in the world and 2022 FIFA will be hosted by Qatar the first middle east country.

Both are really interesting choices according to me.Russia has never been seen in mainstream football and it won the bids against its competitors Spain and England .The iron curtain will open for millions of fans in year 2018.A long  8 years way for Russia to prove that the selection is right.Russia has been surrounded by acquisition that the votes were bought and heavy lobbying was done.But the bottom line is immense political involvement has led to win the bid and has helped Russia in identity saving . Unlike the other European nation Russia didn't join European Union.Its struggle to come back as a massive super power is also seen from this angle.The bid win can be termed as identity saving coin for this RED country.

Russian have scored the goal against England in the bidding scenario also.
Though there were less people to enjoy the bidding victory but later in the night joy sprang across whole nation.The Bid has brought smile to the sluggish economy.The market shares have gone up.I believe the whole bidding win will put Russia on a broader spectrum one more time.
Apart from Russia ,Qatar 2022 has been accepted really well by large majority .The air condition stadium will be the highlight of the event and also Qatar has sources for this mega event and it will be really interesting to see how the woeld cup will hsape ahead.

THE GREAT INDIAN PANTRY

INDIAN FOOD ON TRACK

At 6 am Raj Bahadur heats up the gas and boils milk,ties up his dress and gets all set for his work of selling tea.This is the way his day starts and he feels proud to cater hundreds of people on the journey.He says Indian Railway defines what India is all about.

Managing Control Room

Indian railways as everyone knows is one of the largest in the world.It provides employment to millions across this country.Last month I was travelling in one of the prominent train to Delhi and I decided to got to meet the workers at Pantry car.

Extreme heat condition.and workers preparing food in huge utensils.There is a managing control room where how many orders gets registered and accordingly food is prepared.Every day at least 400 orders are taken for one period meal.

The pantry is always attached to long distance train which is managed by IRCTC. The pantry manager Sanjay Sharma  says that they try their best to provide services to masses .They try their best that food is not repeated during night meals.They take care that it should be different than what is being served during lunch.

One of the passenger whom I met said that the main  food is of Rs 50 but he says that railway should focus on Quality.Generally passengers don't have any issue with the price but they say if the food is priced at rs 50 which has been hiked from rs 40 the quality has to be upgraded.

many dont like the food beacsue they fear the use of water in the pantry.When I went to Pantry I found that the way the food was being made was way hygienic than the myth we were bearing in our minds.Sharma further told me that they use clean water to prepare food.Passenger have different notion to it which they cannot remove from their minds except than trusting Indian railways.One thing is for sure that Pantry has become the integral part of India.In a journey of more than 24 hours one cannot imagine the journey without Pantry car.

The pantry workers are away from their families catering service to passengers.People travel to meet relatives and loved ones and these men work day and night all alone by them selves away from their homes.they do miss their families.They get opportunity to meet them once or twice  in six months  because of the load of work.They say that the train is their home and they are family out there.

Travelling more than 2000 kilometers across 5 states one definitely get to see one part of India which explores national integrity which is blend with cup of tea and food provided by the Great Indian pantry.

Film and Television Institute of India situated in Pune breathes high in this 21st century and has managed to carve its path to create aspiring filmmakers and actors.In the world where people are struggling to get a break through in the movies,I cited a bunch of actors who are learning acting and studying in final year.These students were gearing up for an exhilarating play called Gunahgaar(The Culprit) which embarks the celebration of the ongoing 50th year of the prestigious institute and is suppose to be staged on 20th and 21st of November 2010.

has been directed by the eminent director Arvind Pandey who has been associated with the Institute since 2004.He really feels proud of his students who are performing in the play.

Studio 5 as everyone calls it had became a factory for these students where they have been practicing and rehearsing the play for the past one month. Acting students were all concocted which denoted a promising play..I could actually see the passion and enthusiasm with every step they have been putting up for this play.Perhaps they were not only rehearsing because it was to be staged for a particular event but they were practicing because it was the part of their course."This is the job of our students,they are practicing to be the eminent actors of tomorrow.",said Arvind Pandey.

FTII has been witnessing many students from all over the country."FTII is another microscopic world in itself and it has been truly amazing experience for all of us ",said Sayani Gupta a final year student who has come from Delhi.She furthur explains the dimensional view of FTII that it  not only provides platform to train students from the actors point of view but also from the angle of a thespian .In a diverse country like India where film industry constitutes of Bollywood to regional cinema the country has lot to offer.Sayani adds, I'll be really glad to if given oportunity to work in regional cinema as well.

Its really difficult for regional cinema and independent films to survive in a country where Bollywood has sprawled all over.It is really meticulous to see that there is an institute which holds the value for regional cinema and independent Cinema.According to student Gagan Nimesh"We do look forward to Bollywood but at the same time we respect all kinds of cinema.Wherever there will be opportunity to work we will work there.We believe only in the power of Cinema,despite linguistic segmentation."


Gaurav Mehra another aspiring student from Kanpur says that FTII has always been his passion and his dream..A way through which he can define what professionalism is all about.Engrossed in the preparation Gaurav told that there are severals rounds of practice and they have been working around the clock to put this play in the best shoes.The student who will pass out from here will have tons of responsibility on them to exhibit the best talent which cinema is waiting for.

Its really interesting to see that these students who have been slogging day and night for the play understands the core importance of the acting temple.They have dreams in their eyes and it seems the glitz and glamor wont wipe out the inner soul of the institute and the students.Its all about professionalism ,its all about acting and film making.

Every move of President Obama and first lady Michele Obama was available on various pages on Facebook and Twitter.People were hooked to pages and commenting to various incident such as what did Michele bought from the craft bazar or how did Obama felt talking to farmers via video conference The most popular was the dancing with kids which was really completed the frame of the visit.Indians really care for their guest that even what Obama is eating there was discussion page on that also.Where is he going, why is he going what he is going to say next such question and discussions have jammed the pipe of social network.The funny part is everyone wants to comment and share their views.I wont say its about facebook or twitter freaks buts thats the nature of all Indians,a very complex one full of opinions whether u want it or not you will get to hear vibrant advices and views even if its not their business.the whole discussion in no time can become a fussy out here in India.
For instance example on a social network Ayush Garg, a media student, typed, “Welcome to India Obamaji and what a diplomatic speech. Nice. You are a true American”. 

They were reacting as if this visit is kind of a revolution.lot of expectation were sprawling among the masses.I agree that the president was at his best when he delivered the speech at The Parliament intact this was his best foreign visit so far during his Presidency but that doesn't qualify this visit to be the revolution phenomenon.Its not only that positive wave flourish through web page, there are communities page where Obama faces hard criticism as well.

It was impossible for a single Indian to be unaware of Obama visit because of extended spectrum of news media and digital media.but on other hand Facebook in United states was a calm affair.Many Americans hardly care to discuss such forums on social network.Many ignored the visit.The image of India out in US is different one and people do not realize the significance of such visit as India do.This shows how social network is divided among the masses.People over there give less often views than Indians on such issues.According to India This was the most significant visit of any US President.But Americans didn't view this as important. In fact many called it as a holiday trip or a massive disaster.Perhaps both countries have different viewpoint towards this issue.
This is not only confined to Obama but the Facebook traffic for Obama visit were really high which created him as the favorite topic for discussion among Indians a lot.

Obama said in a speech to India's parliament on his first official visit to the world's largest democracy.

Yes we can was the mantra for Indians when US president Barack Obama surpised everyone by backing India for permanent seat for United Nation Security Council.Its a long way to go for india despite the support shown by US.Bar of hope has raised though India has to face resistance from several blocs of the world.China wont come openly to restrict this step but may instigate other countries to vote against India.

I think the long awaited demand has been heard by US but I am not sure India's credibility on wider spectrum.And that has become the concern for other nation to protest against her.She is an important player in maintaining the world order but India has been viewed as a feeble player in international issues.For example India should actively involve herself in pressurizing the Democracy in Myanmar and this issue was taken out of box by Obama himself when he was addressing in Parliament.

Though he got round of applause from all the corners but there wont be any re organization in United nation seats for another 8 to 10 years.Obama when got elected said change can happen in year 2008.Now he is in India and showed us the path that yes this is possible.YES WE CAN get seat at United nation security council but the journey will be long and full of hurdles.

If we get the permanent seat at United Nation India could control several issues such as of Pakistan Relations and Srilanka issues,which according to me has failed through bilateral ties.After US support to India it will be really interesting to see the relation between Pakistan and China;how they will surface further.The biggest advantage india shoul take now is to expand its naval power.Some kind of strategic circles has to be made in Indian ocean rim where China is making its presence felt through Gwadar in Pakistan and Hambantota in srilanka.


India should show interest in African nations also.For African nation India can develop its ties more in the field of medicines ,Trade including continuing diamond trade.India has to send strong signals to the world by participating in most of the global issues.The Afghanistan relation with India is a positive sign of Asian development.India has invested tremendous 1.3 billion dollars in Afghanistan.India need to focus on other countries as well such as with mercosur countries.India also have to adhere to her standing on climate change.Apart from that Space Programmes and education should be enhanced.These step definitely will make her credibility more concrete than before.

Even though Obama has urged India to expand its market and open it for US,India I believe should to do the same with rest of the nation especially with European Nations .Nobody has seen India as a super power but one thing is for sure Economy is the only medium which has made India's voice more powerful.Obama has given another option for India to spread her wings and bring change in the economy.Even during Doha agreement the economy was the platter and I think time has come to bring Doha agreement to effect which will be enforced only through careful reformation. Its the fortunate country which have not been affected by recession it has huge domestic market and america and other countries are eying on it for their survival.India has to bring reforms in its economic policies and if things work out the country will garner support from every side.Obama has open two boxes.One the economic expansion  where he says it is win win situation for both countries and another UN seat backing which Indians have been dreaming for a long time.

Last weekend most of Indians and Americans transfixed their eyes as United State President Barack Hussein Obama came on a four day visit tour to India.It seemed that the wave of Obama was splashing across India.People were enveloped  in the phenomena which I may coin it as OBAMZATION.

From the short runway which is rarely used by planes at Mumbai airport, Air force one landed on it and made it clear that the four day trip of Obamas will be one of its kind.

Mumbai was turned into a fortress with multi tier security across the city.The whole security came under the canopy of public debate when the reports in Indian media unveiled that the trip cost $200 million a day,which I believe was totally fallacious.It was rumor for sure in Indian media which spread like a wildfire.
Already people have been skeptical about this trip for a very long time.First and foremost his decision of coming during Diwali took everyone by surprise.and secondly when such rumored sprawled, people strongly believed for strange reasons.This added a negative layer to the trip.Even after his arrival there was a lot of buzz in media and also among masses about what can be expected from this trip.

Barack Obama accompanied by Michele Obama visited 26/11 site as well.They choosed to stay at Taj Mahal hotel one of the prominent place which was under heavy attack in year 2008 but irony stuck once again when Obama was distancing himself from mentioning the name of Pakistan as a terrorist weeding state.
Obama later urged India to open markets for US which according to him would creat job for 50000 americans.I don't know about others but for me this is the weirdest thing ever I have heard so far.I didn't know whether to believe this man who have been negative about India previously for outsourcing .

One of interesting point I could cite in this trip was his public speech.Obama was seen addressing the public using teleprompters, rarely used in India, which eventually amused everyone in India.India is a land of great orators and Public speakers ,they have never used such method of addressing masses .People in India were actually questioning the style and the way obama executed his public speech,they have always seen Obama as an eloquent speaker but now the viewpoint has changed for sure.

But on other hand the visit was an eye pleasing one when the President and the First Lady danced with the children to the tunes of Maharashtran music.The conversation between farmers in Rajasthan and Obama in Delhi through video conference became one of the highlight of the trip.
Even the gifts given to labors children by the couple at Humayun Tomb touched many hearts.Those memories will always perpetuate in minds of both countries.Obama won hearts of everyone when he named Gandhi and Tagore in his speech.Even Obamazation continued when he said "Bahut Dhaniyvaad"(thank you very much),these words floored all the leaders present in the assembly.

But the fact is Obama has also lost the credibility and popularity over past year.Even after he left India,the nation is still figuring out the concrete conclusion of this trip.Though his support for India's place at UN Security Council is applaudable,but it is a long jouney for india to achieve it.

The China-Pakistan Defense strike

Its a known fact that China and India have shared a bitter relation for the past many decades.Both these are growing Asian nations which have defined the world order .From initial tussle of Sino-Sikh War in 18th and 19th century to Sino-Indian war in 1962.From failure of Panchsheel to gearing Pakistan -China relation ,  the country across Himalayas has always clustered clouds of apprehension and doubts for India. The recent bitterness erupted when Northern army commander Lt. Gen. B.S. Jaswal, was denied visa by china on grounds that he was the commander of the conflicted area in Kashmir .


In coming weeks India and china are going to exchange various dialogues on economic as well as political front through various summits including East Asia Summit, BRIC(Brazil Russia India and China) summit and G 20 summit.

China has shown lot of interest in Pakistan occupied Kashmir,which has been very disturbing for India.It will be really interesting how these two countries will go about their relation through the upcoming summits.India has to keep an vigil eye on the mighty neighbor as our national security is at complete risk.China is spreading its power through naval activity in Gwadar,Pakistan and Hambantota in Srilanka-The massive naval project. Both these countries have given space to china to incept the naval basis.This is a really disturbing factor for India,though China is more concerned with its naval activity near Taiwan,to regain the erstwhile country but at the same time it has created bases around India which needs to be regulated.


China has been ambitious in its various projects whether it is sports,space programmes, Strengthening defense and moreover strengthening  ties with our soiled rival Pakistan through defense collaboration.To advance their progress in Pakistan they are constructing pathway in POK.


China is also tangled in border dispute of Aksai Chin and Arunachal Pradesh.Even the Issue of India with Nepal has to be treated in a protective way as China has an immense influence over Nepal-Nepal accepts Tibet as part of China where as India has given shelter to suffered Tibetans.There is a highway to be constructed by China  which will be been linked to Kathmandu. Moreover the Maoism influence in the region can jeopardize Indian security.


Though India says that it wants to work towards the betterment of the countrys relation but monday was embarked by the meeting between Prime Minister,Dr. Manmohan Singh and his Japanese counterpart where they discussed China again regarding China Japan maritime boundry dispute and for Indo-China Land dispute in Kashmir.Both countries called upon a concrete dialogue to engage china to clear the negativity and apprehensive approach.

I really think dialogue is the only option for the stability of Asia and the world.But question arises can we trust china for its words.I would like to throw light on The123 Deal we had in 2008 was an achievement  to overcome a fear.A fear which everyone can sense.We do not have the mighty military strength as china,the suspicion activities by Chinese always leads to negative gravitation.Also India has provided Shelter To Tibetans.Thats another major concern area where China has acted as a brutal player in annexation in Tibet.The crackdown has perturbed millions across the globe.India has opened her gates to Tibetans which has upset China to a very large extent.




As far as if we see economic spectrum ,Chinese products have flushed in the markets but at the same time they lack the skill of global language-English, in which India has overshadowed  this country for using this global language to trap the economy.

It will be really interesting to see the dialogues progressing among these countries as both countries have a quest to fulfill its wish to emerge as global Power.At the same time I think India should spend more of her budget on strengthening her defense which will make the national security shield strong.Also India need to review its economy policy to garner more foreign investment.India should look towards the collective defense such as pacts with USSR Or USA,EU & Afro Nations and various strategies for its own National Security.At the same time the trade relation and exchange programmes between China and India may ripe off sour seeds.

The clash between the Chinese and the West is an unexpected one all of a sudden.After the declaration of the Noble Peace Prize earlier this month to the chinese descendant Liu Xiaobo. 

Liu Xiabio has worked as co author for democratic reforms in one party china ad called for end it.He prepared Charter 08 which was put up on the internet and was signed by thousands.Liu Xiaobo is an intellectual writer who has raised his voice against communism through his writing.presently he is serving as political prisoner for 11 years on the grounds of inciting subversion of the government.he has been given noble peace prize for his long struggle for fundamental human rights in china.The Chinese has not accepted this gesture of the noble peace prize community.They have called Xiaobo a criminal and said if he is given the noble peace prize it will be a dark phase in peace arena.

I really think chinas behavior is inappropriate by lashing out at noble committee,it is a clear form of suppression of freedom .Even Chinese authorities has put Xiaobo's wife,Liu Xia under house arrest which is a disgrace on from humanitarian angle.Even foriegn news broadcaster particularly CNN and BBC were blocked when they were broadcasting the noble peace prize declaration.Freedom of press is curtailed heavily.I respect the fact of being communist, may be that way they are progressing but that doesn't mean that they block news channels or take away the rights of people and moreover put people under house arrest who are not at any fault.On other hand Xiaobo is first Chinese to get a noble peace prize and he has immense support back home also but no one is raising their voice because of authoritarian power.The declaration of prize will spread awareness among Chinese who are barred from knowing about the reforms which were raised by Xiaobo.

I believe the Noble Community has taken this decision after viewing thorough work of Xiabio or even if they are accused by Chinese to interfere in internal strata I welcome the decision of the Noble Community.Because at least it may carve way to release Xiaobo.Several calls prior to declaration have been called by international community to release Xiabio.May be this way the convicted may be released under international pressure yet again.China plays a big role in the world market.It has a vital position and has also garnered respect but it would be really interesting to see whether the valve which has been created  between West and China could alter any relation particularly on economy ground.Even US Attorney General has appealed china to release Liu Xiabio.But one reaction I was not amused to see at all was Pakistan support to  china against Noble Community.Their relation of course is going to strengthen over here too.

Many eminent writers have come ahead to support him through PEN,a platform for free expression and celebrating literature.I think  if he is not released today it will be a dark phase of the human rights.There has to be a way to release Xiaobo to support Humanity and prove the credibility of Noble Peace Prize which we have been believing since our childhood.

Lets hope Peace Path through which Xiaobo fought brings peace to his country and humanity.I believe that such recipients such as Liu Xiaobo will raise the bar of noble Peace Prize.

SUCCESS FOR LIFETIME

                  4 YEARS TO CELEBRATE SUCCESS AND A LIFETIME TO CHERISH IT

This October has been really special one for India .After completion of successful 19th commonwealth Games Delhi 2010 .Earlier I wrote blog on the Opening Ceremony and how India showcased its talent to the world.A new beginning was seen,the games brought many endeavors apart from spectacular ceremonies .For the first time India secured second position in  the medal tally which was really overwhelming.Everyone involved in the games really slogged themselves to fix each and every thing right. All the games were held on schedules.The volunteers made the games really a remarkable one after their sheer hard work of months.This games belonged to everyone.Even international players were really happy to see such arrangements.Mike Fennellwas also content and said that Delhi has delivered an exceptional games

I took several; interviews during the games. Vidya Kaur who was involved in selling the tickets at central secretariat bank, Official bank partner said that she has been busy in selling the tickets since 5 months and she is really happy to be the part of it. I am really glad to be the part of it ,I see so many enthusiast coming here to take tickets, it is really a pride of honor for me to serve my nation serve my city this way,On asking her weather she will see opening ceremony she said she want to sit home with a cup of tea and see the show though her children are going ,she laughs.

Similar story echoed when I took interview of one of the volunteers during games , Priyanka Sharma ,a 11th grade student from a school in Delhi. She said that nothing better than this can happen in her life than this event. They have learnt a lot at this age which she would be implementing for rest of her life. Further she said “i will miss all the fun once the games are over. I will miss all my friends and the excitement of a responsibility bestowed on them.These volunteers were given a tribute also as Marshall march during closing ceremony.

I managed to get interview of Shooting Gold medalist Vijay Kumar, On asking about the games village,he said  he was happy to see the arrangements and he was happy that the opening ceremony which was a good cover up for all negative aspects we have been seeing. He really did icing on the cake after winning 3 gold medals. He said the competition was good and India pulled of really well.

The Sporting event did manage to take away interest from cricket and showed the Indian sports credibility.India can definitely become a sport hub nation seeing the trend of participation.An uplift is needed to expand this sporting culture.But I have this concern that India should keep cultivating such sports momentum for rest of her journey.Commonwealth Games has given new hope to the sinking sports membrane.Now as the latest sports facilities have been acquired it should be utilized fully to train home ground athletes.
This event will also make the event industry strong in India.The ceremonies gave the platform to the rural folk dancers and has shown the real talent of India..The experience for them is way beyond expression.The games catered employments to thousands.

The event also boosted tourism and people from various countries throng in Delhi to experience the city."Dilli haat" a popular destination of tourist was among the favorite place .Qutub festival and Old fort festival were also under full swing..Really the games changed many things for Delhi from tourism to infrastructure,from high level security provided,which I have never witnessed in my life before,  to neat roads and markets.

On other hand the world media which was really apprehensive about the games garner support from all angles later on .One of the journalist working in Reuters told me that they were really taken aback watching the Opening and the games which were executed so proficiently. He said India do have potential to host Olympics in near future.
But I must say media prior to games exposed the fault in the progression of the games but they really stretched it too much which could have been a restricted.I agree certain thing should have been exposed but not at the cost of country's image.Now the games are under an inquiry which has been set in to probe the matter of corruption and several accusation .The report is expected in 90 days.Even I hope that things should be fixed now but we have 4 years to celebrate our success till Glasgow 2014 and lifetime to cherish it..So embrace the moment and feel proud of it.and I believe we will get 2020 bid for Olympics.

India had been a wonderful host to rest 70 nations and territories and this has carved the way for a new beginning of relations.
