THE LAST CALL

I am writing this blog in response to the comments given by my fellow readers.Firstly I would like to thank all the people for sharing their views on my previous blog. In todays scenerio Pakistan is definitely one of the most disturbing democracy in the world. As Ratieka imprinted the words of Karl Marx "Society forms the government" which truelly forms the genesis of the democracy. But we are talking about a country which has seen unstable government since ages.Pakistan is more governed with the religious sentiments rather than the genuine politics.

The country has not even come out from the grief of the floods when multiple attacks took place in Quetta on friday. This attack was a shameful blot on the part of government because the country is still coping with the floods and the management of the government has failed to protect religious sentiments once again. The responsibility of these attack on Shia Muslims was taken by a banned militant group Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, which works in the interest of Sunni Muslims.

This great divide of Shia and Sunnis among muslims has emerged as the biggest hurdle for the country to progress. The development is tied with the society and the society is tied with the religion sentiments.Almost 70% of Pakistanis are sunni and 30% constitute of shias. The two sects have cordially participated in creation of this country in 1940s.Despite sunnis having the majority Shias have been elected to top offices and played important role in the country's history. The founder of the country Muhammed Ali Jinnah and the Bhutto family are the Shia Muslims,as is Asif Ali Zardari and other top generals such as Yahya Khan and General Musa khan. The politics over the years has moulded into a religious discord.

The country is crawling on this thin line of religion-the religion which is bound by clashes and has engulfed more than 4000 lives in the past two decades.

There are many small militants groups in Pakistan which run a parallel government and has proven to be one of the biggest internal threat to the country.Society forms the government but there has to be a society which speaks in a universal language and not in an uneven manner.Certainly it seems "The last Call" pakistan has taken is of religon divide rather than of universallity.
