WORKING AT THE FENCE

WORKING AT THE FENCE

"According to information available to the US government, [Pakistan militant group] Tehreek-e-Taliban plans to conduct attacks against foreigners participating in the ongoing flood relief operations in Pakistan," the official said.

"Tehreek-e-Taliban also may be making plans to attack federal and provincial ministers in Islamabad," the official told the AFP news agency on condition of anonymity. Telegraph

The foreign workers may face hard time during the rescue and relief procedure in Pakistan.Even when the country is facing such huge problem such instability is widely visible The Pakistan Taliban is planning to kidnap foreign aid workers who will assist  in the rescue work after this devastating floods which has engulfed more than a million of people. This is the first kind of warning after the nation was uprooted by this deadly floods. However,In beginning of the month Taliban urged pakistan to reject Aid assistance from foreign countries especially United States.

We condemn American and other foreign aid and believe it will lead to subjugation. Our jihad against America will continue," said spokesman for the group, Azam Tariq.
United States is heavily critized in Pakistan and that is the obvious reason why Taliban wants to target foreign workers. For US it may be, the opportunity which they had lost in past, to gain the support of people of Pakistan. At the same time banned Islamist groups are also providing aid through charity to win hearts of pakistanis.DAILY CALLER reports that Pakistani Taliban wants foreign flood aid rejected..Even when such massive floods have hit the country both the parties want to win hearts of the people.

But the road to survival is very difficult one, not only for the people but also for those who are helping in the rescue work.Previously also many foreign workers have been killed by Taliban in parts of Afghanistan and Pakistan. They always target medical workers,Journalsit and NGO.Few weeks back Taliban shot dead a foreign group in Afghanistan.http://australianetworknews.com/stories/201008/2976501.htm?desktop

There is always constant danger working in such countries. You never know when the next bullet will shot you down. You never know when will be your blood will flow in thwe waters of the floods. The people who go on front to help the affected once should be really appreciated and saluted because more than money, and assistance, they are offering something more and that is their life.....Extreme temperatures,Unhealthy conditions, deadly fences and contrains are some of the challenges the foreign workers have to bare during such operations.

It is really difficult and takes abundant courage even to take that dicision to go out and work for the people who have a ray of hope

I believe warning (Taliban warnings)can create a negative implication on the aspect of the humanity and also on buliding up a better relation.During such catastrophe one should not fill the air with such negativity rather they should help the sufferers but as we say everybody wants to have their show rolling. To some extent Pakistan is witnessing the same........

Despite such warning UN has decided to continue its aid effort. With that spirit I pray for all the rescue  workers including pakistani and foreign official who are helping to save humanity.
