THE LOST FUTURE-Road to dead end....

ROAD TO DEAD END

First of all I would like to thank all the people who have shared their views on my previous posts.Well as I am covering Pakistan Floods there has been a lot of discussion on the aid as well as the future of Pakistan.Today i would like to share my views on the Democracy in Pakistan.

"The Pakistan floods have also weakened the standing of Zardari, who did not return from a trip to Europe when the crisis began, as well as parliamentarians generally, who have in many cases been notably absent from their home constituencies. The Army, meanwhile, which has ruled Pakistan for roughly half of its 63 year existence, has profited from some good PR"The Christian Science Monitor

Well Pakistan has been walking on a thin thread of politics for the past 6 decades.Never a stable government have been able to sustain its tenure.Pakistan has been under the influence of its military almost since it was founded. The Intelligence agencies have a huge role in the politics since the beginning in making and breaking the political parties. The country has been ruled by both democratic and military governments. The first decade was marred with political unrest and instability resulting in frequent collapses of civilian democratic governments. From 1947 to 1958 as many as seven Prime Ministers of Pakistan either resigned or were ousted.Well that was the beggining of this lost future.Later the powers went in the hands of Ayub khan and Yahah khan subseqentely brought negative air in the environment. The country saw controversial  rule of Bhhutto family also created an political embargo.Later the President rule under Musharaf was one of the dark age in its democracy. The assasination of Benarzir Bhutto was the biggest political jolt in the history of Pakistan. After her assasination the politics in Pakistan lost its charmList of Prime Mnisters in Pakistan. There is always a continous blame game for a progressing government.

Terrorist attacks everyday  takes place which dilutes the fragnance of democracy in the country. It cannot be relied either for its nuclear non-credibility.It is believed that there if  free access to terrorist organization regarding nuclear activity.Nuclear Terrorism.Well for obvious reason one can thank A Q khan,
A. Q. KHAN
A controversial figure who can be responsible in taking nuclear programme seeds among "Non State Actors"
One of the biggest problem of this country is of various local government which proves to be a barricade for  the national government.
Morover blacklisted terrorist organization
such as Jamat-Ud-Dawa a unit of LeT is still
active in the country which is a vital concern in South Asia.

At time when we think that Pakistan will breathe for its democracy for longer period a problem is stuck .Because of Pakistan instability the whole South Asia is unstable.Recently terrorist blast took place near Peshawer. Despite Pakistan facing the biggest debacle of floods such terrorist attacks are nothing but a road to dead end.Peshawer Attack.

Well people are angry with the present government. It will be really interesting to see this developing story over the power imbalance in the country and in what shape this country will mould.President Zardari has said the country will take two or more years to recover from the devastating FLOODS but the question here lies is will pakistan ever be able to stand on its feet in the midst of terror breakdown and blame shade polity.

Please Share your views-what you think of the future of Pakistan. Is it really standing on the road to dead end or it has any future which is not lost?

Thanks and Regards
Nikhil Bhushan

  1. Pakistan has always been a farce democracy...probably the early years of independence it may have been so but since then the military element has always been more strong than its democracy....their obsession with india had caused them to be blind to everythin else....will it be able 2 stand the present scenario is a very difficult question...
    good work nikhil!!
